Dear Writers,
As your winter hibernation slowly comes to an end, and those novels you've been snuggling up with all these months need air, it's time to get yourself out of that writer's chair and head for some some refreshing workshops and reacquaint yourself with new and old writing friends.

Registration is now open for our sister conference, Writing Success XXII.
Directed by Gloria Clover at Emmanuel Church in Stoneboro, PA, this one day writers' conference is filled with inspiring and insightful workshops along with opportunities to talk with others about writing who understand you!

Mark your calendars for April 26, 2014.

Check out this years line of faculty and workshops and don't forget to click on the link below to register and reserve your spot.

Here is wishing you all a wonderful start to spring.

Resilient Spirit: Poems For Lorraine
By: Nancy Esther James

is now available from Finishing Line Press.

An excerpt from the foreword:

One year in the late 1990s, my niece, writing her annual Christmas letter, shared news of her mother’s situation. Lorraine, she wrote, was now living in a residence designed for patients in later stages of dementia. Although Lorraine’s memory and her ability to perform everyday tasks were diminishing, she seemed contented and good-humored. “She has a peaceful, resilient spirit,” Beverly wrote.

I thought, What a wonderful phrase to be remembered by—a “peaceful, resilient spirit.”

This book tells the story, as I observed and experienced it, of Lorraine’s final years—the story of what changed in her mind and body, and what remained of her spirit.

CONGRATULATIONS, NANCY, on the publication of your new chap book!
